Have Savage LS650 2001, 9000+ miles. Have had many problems, But the one that is bothering me is.... When taking off in first gear there is a grinding type of noise. And when in a higher gear at a low RPM and I give it gas you can feel it, But not hear it like in first gear. It does feel like a slipping, But it has the grinding noise. Now it don't happen when I take off slow. I have talked to a couple of people and they said I might have a bad spot on a clutch plate. Looking for someone with some wizdom.... Help me out...
